In 2020, under his leadership, the Department of Specialized Spine Surgery was newly established under Chief Surgeon Dr. Oliver Meier — with the clear goal of offering world-class surgical treatment on-site. Dr. Meier, one of Germany’s most respected spine surgeons, has successfully performed over 1,200 scoliosis surgeries to date. Patients from across Germany, as well as Qatar, Dubai, and other Gulf states, rely on his expertise – clear evidence of the clinic’s growing reputation under Burghaus’s leadership.
With a growing team, focused medical specialization, and a clear emphasis on all forms of scoliosis — from early adolescent systems to neuromuscular deformities — the center has developed into a nationally and internationally recognized point of reference. Today, it combines advanced surgery, conservative orthopedics, and modern diagnostics under one roof.
